This month was hard due to my medicine adjustments as we prepare for pregnancy. I have noticed that when I have more down days, I read more fiction, and that was true of this month! I had a goal to finish two books that I had started and left unfinished, and I did that! I also read this month’s Well-Read Mom’s book. I finished the romance series I started in June and started a new one, and then I read two stand-alone romance novels.
I started this book in January of 2024 and set it down part of the way through. I decided to finish it up this month, and I am glad I did. It was an incredibly interesting and beautifully written reflection on how narratives of African Americans are told in different places across the country and the world.
I started this series in June, and I finished books two through six this month. It is a closed-door romance about a group of hockey players. Very sweet and fun!
This Fourth of July read was exactly what I was looking for this month. The premise is hilarious: a baker and a professional athlete who does advertising for her family’s health-focused company.
This month’s Well-Read Mom’s read. I really enjoyed the story and the reflection it provided on motherhood and fatherhood. I did not love the ending, but it was a worthwhile read.
I was looking for a stand-alone romance book. This one was funny. I loved the strong, female main character!
I started this five-book series, and finished the first three. It is about one family of brothers and each of their own love stories. I have enjoyed them! The first book was a little unbelievable for me, but it was cute. I liked the second book the most so far.
This was March’s Well-Read Mom’s book that I started but did not finish. It is beautifully written. It tells a story set in South Africa from two different perspectives – very thought provoking.
